I LIVE in my backpack – I habit I got into going to clubs, afterhours clubs, after parties, and then watching the sun come up. – I always have essentials for a couple days, as well as pockets full of things my friends are going to need. I also spend lots of time writing in cafes and diners, so I’ve tried tons of backpacks over the last 20 years. This is a way better backpack than I expected – I think of it as a ‘greatest hits’ of other backpacks.It has lots of room, and is expandable if you undo the side clips. It has a quasi military look, but that vibe can be offset by the many cool colors. I like that I can have my molle first aid kit attached without looking like I’m in a militia. I can’t stress enough how great the many inside organizing pockets are. They’re a strong mesh, so you can see what you put where. Maybe the one thing it DOESN’T do is have an extra padded laptop pocket if you’re that person. There’s certainly enough ROOM for one in a couple different pockets. The straps are extremely adjustable for all shapes and sizes. The zippers have extended grabs. I worried about them catching on things, but that never happened, and it makes getting into a compartment rapidly much easier. The side pockets are extra deep, and can hold a larger water bottle easily. They have cinch ties for better retention too! I took this on a ‘week in Chicago torture test’, and it was super on the train there, and great trekking across the city. It’s really sturdy too – I’d rate it somewhere above jansport but not as bulletproof as dakine. Over all, this is a sturdy backpack that is conspiring to make my life easier every time I use it.NOW the only problem is wanting one in every color . . .
I think you get what you pay for here. The MOLLE webbing seems well stitched after a few tough tugs on it. But there’s something about the exterior construction that feels “off” to me. Maybe I’m just used to a 2002-era Blackhawk bag construction…. The interior mesh and the slick pocket material feels like it’s not going to stand up to much. It’s ok in my case, because it’s really just going to be stuffed with sleeping gear and used occasionally by my small son (for whom it is probably too big) but if you’re carrying a laptop around in this thing in the city or something I imagine the failure of one of the straps is going to be a big deal.
This Backpack is great for WORK, I use it everyday. It stores everyday items and even water bottles and my lunch for the day. I highly recommend it, and I have had a few questions and compliments.

This backpack has everything! It has compartments, pockets & slots for everything you can imagine. It allows from outdoors/hiking supplies to electronics like a laptap, tablet, cell phone, etc. It has a bottle/tumbler outside pocket on each side, the zippers have nice larger pulls & seem to be high quality. The material has a rugged quality to it that seems like it will hold up well to more rough use. It also looks great! I am really excited to use this for traveling & outdoor activities like hiking! I would order this again & I would recommend it to others.
